mail run to Grindstone, 1946. The men in the front and the back
of the boat could push and pull the boat when they were on solid
ice. They hopped into the boat when the ice was not strong enough
and everyone paddled until they were on solid ice again. With
solid ice, a windy day and the sail up, the trip was made much
easier. |
